SIGNATURE HIGHLIGHTS

Cinematic Save the Date

A pre-wedding shoot was shaped into a visual introduction to the destination, with a photograph and a short venue-reveal film creating anticipation before guests arrived.

Bride-First Mehendi Planning

The bride completed the main portion of her Mehendi before the wedding weekend, leaving only the finishing details for the Mehendi celebration so she could enjoy the afternoon with her guests.

Cold Pyro Dinner Entry

A carefully timed cold-pyro moment created a dramatic transition as guests entered the dinner celebration.

THE STARTING POINT

Chunda Palace had already been selected and booked when Ritesh and Parvati came to us. Our role was to take the existing venue and turn it into a complete three-day experience—shaping the flow, creative direction, vendor coordination and guest experience around an intimate heritage property.

THE MAIN CHALLENGES

The intimacy of a boutique palace meant that spaces had to work efficiently across multiple functions. The second challenge was protecting the guest experience: the bride wanted to be present for her own Mehendi, while the wedding still needed to feel beautifully paced from arrival to departure.

HOW WE SOLVED IT

VENUE-SPECIFIC CONTEXT

Chunda Palace’s heritage character and lakeside setting make the property part of the wedding experience itself. The planning therefore focused on using the palace’s architecture and intimate scale rather than trying to overpower it with production. The venue’s traditional art, heritage detailing and views across Lake Pichola naturally lent themselves to a wedding where each function could feel distinct.

Guest Communication & Arrival

We structured the guest journey around a simple wedding microsite or digital itinerary, supported by WhatsApp updates for arrival information, function timings, dress codes and location details. A small on-ground hospitality team then became the familiar point of contact once guests arrived.

Planning the Mehendi Around the Bride

Instead of making the Mehendi a long bridal appointment, we planned around the bride’s priorities. By completing the main Mehendi work in advance and leaving only the finishing details for the event, she could participate in the celebration rather than spend the afternoon away from her guests.

Making a Boutique Property Work Harder

Function transitions were planned around the palace’s available spaces, with vendor access and reset windows tightly controlled. The aim was to make each function feel like a new environment without exposing the operational changeover to guests.

Entertainment & Experience

The Sangeet was given a high-energy evening format, while the Haldi remained more relaxed and social. For dinner, the cold-pyro entry was used as a transition into the evening rather than simply as a special effect.

Destination Storytelling

The pre-wedding shoot was used beyond photography. We turned the material into a Save the Date and a short venue-reveal film, giving guests an early sense of the destination and building anticipation for the weekend.

PHOTOGRAPHY & CONTENT

The pre-wedding shoot was also treated as communication content. Instead of using the photographs only for the couple, the material became part of the Save the Date and venue reveal, giving guests a reason to engage with the destination before they travelled.

THE SMALL DETAILS THAT MATTER

A well-designed welcome pack can include a personal welcome letter, venue map, emergency contacts, key hotel information and a simple explanation of what guests can expect over the next three days. These details are inexpensive compared with the overall wedding, but they immediately communicate that the guest experience has been thought through.

A CLEAR DIGITAL ITINERARGUEST EXPERIENCE LAYERY

For a destination wedding of this size, the guest journey can begin before arrival through a wedding website carrying travel information, hotel details, the three-day itinerary, dress guidance and local recommendations. Once guests arrive, WhatsApp can become the quick-update channel while the on-ground hospitality team handles anything personal or time-sensitive.

THE FINAL OUTCOME

We transformed a pre-booked boutique heritage property into a complete destination experience, with the planning centred on making the most of the venue while keeping the couple and guests present in the celebration. The result was intimate, highly paced and personal rather than feeling like a standard sequence of wedding functions.
